KOAM vice president sustains injuries after being shot

Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union (KOAM) vice-president Datuk Noorul Ariffin Abdul Majid was shot in front of his house in Bandar Rahman Putra, Sungai Buloh, last night.
In the 10pm incident, two men on a motorcycle approached the victim as soon as he returned from a nearby surau.
The men had shot at him four times but only two of the bullets hit Ariffin. He was later taken to the Sungai Buloh hospital by family members.
Police investigation found four 9 milimetres bullet shells. Two other gun shots were also found on the victim’s car.
Sungai Buloh chief of police Supt Junaidi Bujang said investigations revealed that the victim had received a threat a month ago.
The motive of the incident is still being investigated.
The case is investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code.
