Singapore's Lions XII FC maintained their position at the top of the Super League table after a comfortable 3-0 win over T-Team at Stadium Jalan Besar, Singapore Saturday night.
With the score, the squad managed by V. Sundramoorthy led with 34 points from 16 matches while T-Team remained at the 11th position with 12 points from 17 matches.
The home team, who took advantage of their familiarity playing on an artificial turf, opened scoring through captain Shahril Ishak in the ninth minute.
Shakir Hamzah slammed in the second goal in the 28th minute before Fazrul Nawaz secured the winner in the 35th minute with a header from a free kick taken by Shahril Ishak.
Elsewhere, the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) beat Felda United FC by a solitary goal at the Petaling Jaya Municipal Council Stadium in Kelana Jaya through Hairuddin Omar who nodded in a free kick by Rezal Zambery Yahya in the ninth minute.
Johor Darul Takzim (Johor DT), who lost 2-0 to MAF last Tuesday, made a comeback by beating PKNS FC 3-1 at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin, Johor Baharu to finish third in the league.
In the afternoon, Terengganu were held to a 2-2 draw by Pahang at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu.
