Loganeshaa, Zandra are Selangor's best

Karate exponent R. Loganeshaa Rao and bowler Zandra Aziela Ibrahim Hakimi were named Selangor Sportsman and Sportswoman 2011 on Monday night.

Each received RM5,000 and a trophy from Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah at the Selangor Sports Awards 2011 ceremony here.

Loganeshaa, 23, won a silver medal in the Asian Karate Federation senior championship in Guangzhou, China, as well as a gold and silver in the SEA Games in Indonesia.

He also won a gold medal in the Basler Open in Switzerland.

Meanwhile, Zandra Aziela, 26, won the Masters golds in the Canon Malaysian International Open championship and Basankararcelona International Open.

At the SEA Games in Indonesia, she won a gold and two bronze.
