M'sia adds two gold medals at world youth silat championship

The national world youth pencak silat squad continued to shine adding two more gold medals at the third edition of the World Youth Silat Championship 2015 at Stadium Titiwangsa, yesterday.
Nashrul Edzam Mohd Asri gave Malaysia its fourth gold after winning the men's singles artistic silat winning 459 points.
The silver and bronze medals were won by Singaporean contestant Nujaid Hasif Zainal Abidin and Vietnam's Ngo Van Nuynh, scoring 453 and 443 points respectively.
Malaysia's fifth award came from Nur Fatihah Zainuddin in the women's singles artistic silat after garnering 445 points.
Just one point behind was Indonesian contestant, Dwi Jayanti who won the silver award while Singaporean Nurzianah Mohammad Yazid won the bronze medal with 442 points.
For the record, Malaysia won three gold medals in this championship in the Ganda Putera and Puteri categories as well as the men's team category.
A total of 128 athletes and 44 officials as well as trainers from 12 nations are participating in the championship, including Singapore, Australia, Azerbaijan, India, Germany, Bangladesh, Russia, Vietnam, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia as well as Malaysia as the host.
