M'sia jump five spots in FIFA ranking

Malaysia moved up five places in the FIFA world ranking list released despite the 1-3 aggregate loss to Thailand in the AFF Suzuki Cup.
Malaysia who held 163rd position climbed five spots to 158.
In January, Malaysia were in 148th spot but dropped to 150 in (February), 152 (March), 156 (April), 153 (May), 154 (June), 157 (July, August), 156 (September), 162 (October) and 163 November.
Malaysia are now in the same league as Solomon Islands (150), Aruba (151), Faroe Islands (153) and Bermuda (157).
In South East Asia, Malaysia dropped one spot to remain in sixth spot with Vietnam leading the pack on (131), Thailand (136), Philippines (147), Singapore (154) and Indonesia (156).
In Asia, Malaysia moved up one spot to take up 26th position among 46 countries.
Meanwhile, World and Euro champion Spain continued to stay at the top of the world with 1,606 points while Germany and Argentina maintained their second and third spots with 1,437 and 1,290 points respectively.
The FIFA ranking involves 209 countries.
