Malaysia bags two more gold medals, brings home six

Malaysia grabbed six gold medals at the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after receiving two more for the men and women's doubles badminton showdown.
The clash at Emirates Arena saw Woon Khe Wei and Vivian Khoo defeating the women's doubles defending champions from India, Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnanppa with 21-17, 23-21.
Meanwhile, in the men's doubles, Tan Wee Kiong and Goh Wei Shem defeated Singaporean pair, Danny Christnanta and Chayut Triyachat with 21-12, 21-15.
The Malaysian doubles team had previously gained gold medals through Ang Li Peng-Lim Pek Siah in 2002, and Chin Eei Hui-Wong Pei Tty in 2006.
The 2014 Commonwealth Games officially ended with the Malaysian contingent gaining six gold, seven silver and six bronze medals.
The country had earlier targeted to bring home seven gold medals for this year's Games.
