Malaysia can still qualify for 2015 Asian Cup
Malaysia still has a chance to qualify for the final round of the 2015 Asian Cup in Australia.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) general secretary Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin said Malaysia has to collect points from the three remaining matches.
The three matches are against Bahrain at Bahrain National Stadium on Nov 15, against Qatar at Shah Alam Stadium on Nov 19 and against Yemen on March 5, 2014 at a venue not yet determined.
"All the players gave their all against Bahrain (at Shah Alam Stadium) last night. The top three teams will qualify for the Asian Cup finals," he told a press conference on the National Football Awards 2013 at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, here today.
Malaysia willbe in action against Kuwait in a friendly match on Nov 6 in preparation for the match against Bahrain.
The 6th National Football Awards to be held on Nov 23 in Shah Alam will feature 13 categories including Best Goalkeeper, Best Defender, Best Midfielder, Best Striker, Best Import Player, Coach of the Year and Most Promising Player.
