Malaysia crush Vietnam 4-0 in 1st ASEAN Deaf Football Championships

Malaysia began their campaign at the maiden ASEAN Deaf Football Championships in style with an emphatic 4-0 win over Vietnam in a group B opening match yesterday.
Played at the Field-C of National Sports Council (MSN), the national squad led 1-0 at the end of the first half with a goal by Edelson Dell Evaristus in the 24th minute.
In the second half, the national team continued to control the match and were rewarded with a penalty which was converted by Aqif Ikhwan in the 74th minute before Razilawali scored a brace in the 79th and 90th minute to seal the game for Malaysia.
The national squad will be meeting Myanmar in the last group B match on Wednesday while Vietnam were down to meet Myanmar tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in group A, Thailand thrashed Cambodia 14-0 while Indonesia subdued Laos 6-4.
Thailand are scheduled to meet Laos while Cambodia will face Indonesia at Wisma FAM field in their second group A matches tomorrow.
The tournament is being held from Dec 4 to 10.
