The Malaysian hockey squad is expecting tough competition from Poland in the 2015 World Hockey League Round Two final on Sunday.
National coach Tai Beng Hai, however, was confident that the team would be able to face any attacks from Poland.
"We aim to win thisin terms of ranking and performance, Malaysia is capable of emerging as .
"Yes, we may have lost to Poland in the friendly match in Kuala Lumpur before, but our players were not prepared then because they just participated in the Malaysia League championship," he told reporters after the team won the semi-final match against Japan on Saturday.
Malaysia won 3-2 on penalties over Japan after a 1-1 draw, while Poland defeated Oman 7-1 in another match.
Meanwhile, Poland's captain, Pawel Bratkowski said they would do their best to win the final match against Malaysia.
"It will be a tough game, especially when facing a good team like Malaysia.
"So, we will try our best to win the game. It feels good to be in the final round," he said.
