Masum Beach Games attracts 900 over participants

More than 900 athletes and officials from 14 universities in the country are participating in the Malaysian Universities Sports Council (Masum) Beach Games that kick off at Pantai Bagan Pinang, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan today.

Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sports Centre Director Mustaza Ahmad said the games organised by Masum had received support from the Negeri Sembilan state government, Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson (MPPD) and state sports council.

"The games will feature five sports, namely beach football, beach volleyball, beach netball, beach sepaktakraw and beach run. UiTM as the defending champion will go all out to defend the title," he said.

Mustaza said the closing ceremony of the games would be held on Dec 2.
