Former National coach Datuk Misbun Sidek's son Misbun Ramdan Misbun qualified for the main draw of the Celcom-Axiata 2017 National Championships after beating Goh Ting Yu from Sabah 21-12, 21-19, here Tuesday.
Misbun Ramdan from Selangor joined former National shuttler K.Yogendran in the main draw after the veteran overcame BAM's Lim Chong King 29-27, 21-16 at the Dewan Seri Perdana Kolej Sains Kesihatan Bersekutu Azlan Shah in Ulu Kinta.
Among the elite shuttlers who will feature in the main draw Wednesday are Zulfadli Zulkiffli, Liew Daren, Goh V Shem, Tan Wee Kiong, Chan Peng Soon and many more.
The championships that started on Feb 19, offers total prize money of RM270,000 in the men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. -- Bernama
