Malaysian amateur featherweight champion Muhammad Aiman Raziz Affindi recently secured a deal with Asia's largest MMA organisation, ONE Championship – kick-starting his career in professional fighting.
The season 3 winner of the Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Championship (MIMMA3) described his signing as a route to success towards his martial arts career.
"I choose to sign with ONE Championship because I've seen a lot of my friends become successful as it is the largest MMA promotion in Asia and it is huge in my home country Malaysia," said the 21-year-old lad from Negeri Sembilan.
Aiman was a seasoned contestant in MIMMA, who emerged as champion in his third attempt at the amateur tournament, beating season 2 champion Hafizul Hakim from Sabah in October last year.
"I feel great signing with ONE Championship…I now know that I don't have to worry about trying to get a fight.
"I am pumped and excited to showcase what I can do at the international level," he said.
Aiman moved up from bantamweight to featherweight and was the only finalist who returned to MIMMA since the first season.

"My plan in ONE Championship is to deliver some good fights – one of those fights that people will remember," he said.
Aiman will be making his ONE Championship debut in Kuala Lumpur this September against World Boxing Federation (WBF) title belt holder and fellow Malaysian, Muhammad Noor Hisyam Samsudin.
