Japanese fighter, Yoshitaka 'Nobita' Naito retained his unbeaten record by defeating Thailand’s Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke via submission to become the new ONE Strawweight World Champion.
Dejdamrong started out very strong in the first round, keeping Naito at bay with his superb striking skills, dodging all of his opponent's takedown attempt.
However, in the second round, Dedjamrong failed to keep up his momentum - allowing Naito to drag him to the floor.
Naito seized the opportunity to utilize his superior grappling skills to control his opponent on the mat.
In the final and fourth round, Naito finished the fight with a 'rear naked choke' that he had been attempting throughout the bout.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, reigning ONE Featherweight World Champion Marat 'Cobra' Gafurov also finished his opponent with a 'rear naked choke'.
The former M-1 champion from Russia beat Japanese MMA veteran Kazunori Yokota, to remain unbeaten as a professional mixed martial artist.
Gafurov controlled Yokota throughout the bout both on stand-up and ground, before securing the finish in the second round.
ONE Championship's Kingdom of Champions was held Friday night at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
