Najib watches PTIWRBNM 2015 final badminton match

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today spent time watching the final badminton match in conjunction with the Annual Programme of the Pan-Malaysian Barisan Nasional Elected Representatives' Wives (PTIWRBNM)

The Prime Minister arrived at about 3pm for the final where his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor participated for the Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers (Bakti).
Rosmah, who partnered Datin Seri Lee Sun Loo, wife of Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, beat Datin Noraini Salleh and Puan Sri Genevieve Kitingan from the Association of Wives of Sabah Elected Representatives (Bakisa) 15-1, 15-0 in the first doubles match.
However, Bakisa put up a stiff challenge to Bakti in the second doubles match winning 15-2, 15-3; 15-7, 15-7 (third doubles); and 15-10, 15-7 (fourth).
Bakisa eventually defeated Bakti 3-1 after a battle of about two hours.
In third place was the Badan Amal dan Usaha Perak (Baiduri) team.
In the bowling event, Baiduri emerged as overall champion followed by Bakisa while in third place was Bakti. The Prime Minister gave away the prizes to the winners.
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir.
A total of 536 participants involving 14 contingents throughout the country took part in the annual programme with the theme 'Budayakan Sukan, Akrabkan Hubungan' (Enculture Sports, Forge Close Relationship) competing in badminton and tenpin bowling.
For the gathering this time, Baiduri and the state government would organise the 'Perak Silver Youth Fest' with all the leaders, including from Perak, and their wives expected to participate in the festival involving 10,000 youths in the state.
The festival is scheduled to be launched by the Prime Minister tomorrow.
