Nicol escapes British Open's first hurdle

Malaysian squash queen and world's number one Datuk Nicol David advanced into second round of the British Open squash championship at Pontefract in West Yorkshire, England Tuesday.
She defeated a qualifier, Joshna Chinappa of India in straight set 11-4, 11-5 and 11-4 in just half an hour.
However, Malaysia's number two, Low Wee Wern was shown the exit by homester Sarah-Jane Perry in a gruelling four-set match.
The 22-year-old Wee Wern falls to Sarah-Jane 7-11, 11-13, 11-7 and 9-11 in an hour and two minutes.
In the men's category which was held at KC Stadium in Hull, it was also an early exit for Ong Beng Hee at this year's competition.
Beng Hee was defeated by Australia's Cameron Pilley in straight set of 1-11, 8-11 and 12-14 in a 46 minutes match.
While the match between Delia Arnold and world number three, Raneem El Weleily of Egypt is schedule to be held at 6 pm local time (1 am Malaysian time).
