Datuk Nicol David breezed into the second round of the Windy City Open in Chicago, United States, on Thursday.
The world number one, who is making her debut at the tournament, only took 30 minutes to dispatch off local wild card Olivia Blatchford with 11-3, 11-6 and 12-10.
The 31-year-old Penangite will be meeting Egypt's Heba El Torky in the next round.
Heba defeated India's Dipika Pallikal of India 11-9, 11-9, 5-11 and 11-6 in a match that lasted for 43 minutes.
Meanwhile, other top Malaysian women squash players, Low Wee Wern and Delia Arnold will be playing their matches later today.
World number eight, Wee Wern, will face Egypt's Habiba Mohamed at 2pm (4am Malaysian time, Saturday), while Delia will be playing defending champion Laura Massaro of England at 5pm local time (7am Malaysian time, Saturday).
