Khairy Jamaluddin says Rio 2016 is the best Olympic campaign after the country bags four silver and 1 bronze medals.
Youth and Sports Khairy Jamaluddin says the planning for Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games begins now.
Khairy uploaded a series of tweets after national shuttler, Datuk Lee Chong Wei bagged the silver medal following the men’s singles final held at RioCentro arena in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night.
The match sided with China’s Chen Long who took home the gold medal in two sets, 21-18 21-18.

Now we plan for Tokyo 2020. We begin today.

Khairy also thanked Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek for his initiative in establishing the ‘Road to Rio’ programme when he was the Youth and Sports minister four years ago.

At Rio 2016, Malaysia bagged four silver medals and a bronze medal in badminton, diving and cycling.
