Nur Rozi stable after undergoing surgery - coach

The condition of National junior cyclist Nur Rozi Yanti Mat Rodzi is said to stable but remains under the care of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Kajang Hospital.
National junior cycling coach Suod Hussain said though Nur Rozi's condition is stable, the rider from Perlis remains in ICU.
"I was informed by her family members that she had regained conscious but induced into a 'coma' stage to ensure she rests well. The doctor has assured that there is no internal bleeding. Injuries to her mouth has also been treated," he told Bernama, here today.
The 17-year-old was undergoing routine training with several other riders when the incident happened at KM19 along the SILK Highway at 9.45 am.
Nur Rozi had reportedly suffered a cramp in her leg and tried to adjust her footing on the pedal when she lost control and fell.
A van that was escorting the riders ran over the cyclist's abdomen, causing serious injuries to her body and head.
Meanwhile, the National Sports Council will set up a committee to investigate the incident.
