Asia’s biggest mixed martial arts organisation, ONE Fighting Championship (ONE FC) returns to Indonesia this September 13 with a hard knocking event.
The event will be headlined by the much awaited fight between Japanese seasoned fighter, Shinichi Kojima and American wrestler, Andrew Leone.
Kojima is a Shooto veteran who has been dubbed as one of the greatest flyweight fighters of all time. He also has a decade of pro-MMA experience under his belt.
Leone, in the meantime, is a grappling expert and a tough wrestler who have won numerous titles in submission grappling tournaments in Asia, as well as gold medals in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ).
In addition to that, fan favourite Kotetsu ‘No Face’ Boku is also expected to get back his winning ways after losing the coveted ONE FC Lightweight World Championship title at ONE FC: KINGS & CHAMPIONS on April 5, 2013.
The match will see Boku facing aggressive South African striker Vuyisile Colossa - a Muay Thai world champion and one of the most dangerous and powerful strikers who have their transition into MMA.
Another exciting match is the bout between American sensation Jake Butler and 2nd Dan Kyokushin Karate expert, James Kouame.
In a press statement by ONE FC, its CEO Victor Cui confirmed the event, promising adrenaline pumping action for MMA fans in Indonesia.
“Two of the top Flyweights in Asia square off in front of 15,000 screaming fans in the main event of the evening and adding fan favorites Kotetsu Boku and Jake Butler on this card is icing on the cake.
“The thousands of fans in attendance and the millions watching around the world are in for another evening of world class MMA featuring the best in Asia,” he said in the statement.
