PAFA may turn to Weigang to lift 'The Bos Gaurus'

The Perak Football Association (PAFA) might turn to experienced coach Karl Heinz Weigang to lift 'The Bos Gaurus' from the doldrums.

Its deputy president, Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya said they were still discussing the matter with the much travelled German who was Perak head coach from 1997-2000.

Weigang also had a successful stint with the Malaysian national team (1979-1982).

"We are looking at strengthening the squad for the remaining matches in the Super League and for the Malaysia Cup competition.

"The committee feels that we have to consider roping in an experienced coach such as Weigang, who has been here since last week," he said after opening the 25th Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (MELTA) International Conference, here today.

Shahrul Zaman said the fate of Perak head coach Syamsul Saad has not been finalised.
