Pahang, JDT and Selangor start Malaysia Cup campaign on winning note

Defending champion Pahang opened their title defence in style by whipping Johor Darul Ta'zim II 4-0 in a Group A match at the Darul Makmur Stadium yesterday.

In another Group A match, Lions XII and Felda United shared the points in a goalless draw at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.

In Johor Baharu, Super League champion Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) opened their Malaysia Cup campaign in Group C on a winning note after beating arch rival and former champion Kelantan 1-0 at the Larkin Stadium.

Armed Forces and Penang who are also in the same group played out a 1-1 draw at the Selayang Stadium while record winners of the Malaysia Cup, Selangor edged T-Team 2-1 in a Group D match at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu.
