Pahang still leads Super League standings
Pahang maintained their clean record in the newly-opened Super League season when they edged Negeri Sembilan 2-1 at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan on Tuesday.
The result kept the Elephants at the top of the table standings with nine points after three matches.
Coached by former national player Dollah Salleh, Pahang opened accounts in the 27th minute through striker Mohd Fauzi Roslan before Mohd Faizol Hussain made it two up in the 74th minute.
Mohd Rahizi Mohd Rasib reduced the deficit for the visitors in the 88th minute but it was Pahang's night.
Armed Forces (ATM) recorded their second victory in the league when they thrashed Terengganu club side T-Team 3-0 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi.
'The Gladiators' goals were netted by Mohd Shukor Adan (47th minute), captain Rezal Zambery Yahya (65th) and their import striker Marlon Alex James (87th).
Selangor PKNS also turned things around when they managed to edge LionsXII 1-0 at the Shah Alam Stadium with the winner netted by Mohd Nazrin Syamsul Bahari in the 78th minute.
The match also saw LionsXII striker Fazrul Nawaz given the marching orders in the dying minutes when he brought down an opponent with rough tackle.
Meanwhile, defending champions Kelantan only managed a 1-1 draw against Darul Takzim FC at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Baru.
The Red Warriors took the lead through Norfarhan Muhammad in the 37th minute before the 'Harimau Selatan's' import player Daniel Guiza cancelled the advantage in the 64th minute.
