National football chief coach Dollah Salleh is keeping his fingers crossed that the Harimau Malaya players will play as a team and according to his plan for a win against Palestine in their second match of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old coach said there was no Plan B in the encounter against Palestine apart from fully focusing on the match and playing according to their strategy to collect three points at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
"In the friendly against Hong Kong, I saw them play as a team but I am baffled that they did not display the same teamwork yesterday and they were playing as individuals.
"It is important we execute as planned during the training session at the match, and we will not have problems," he told Bernama when met during the national squad training session at Wisma FAM here on Friday.
In the opening match on Thursday, Malaysia drew 1-1 with Timor Leste despite having home advantage.
Malaysia are drawn in Group A in the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign which would be used as the 2019 Asian Cup qualifying as well.
Harimau Malaya are scheduled to meet the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sept 3 and Saudi Arabia on Sept 8 in the second round.
