The National squad made amends for their defeat in the first match of their Australian playing stint by whipping Sydney Olympics FC 4-0 at the Belmore Sports Ground in Sydney, Tuesday.
Selangor skipper Amri Yahyah was the toast of the team when he accomplished a hat-trick while captain Safiq Rahim opened accounts as early as the 9th minute, in the second of a three-match stint.
Amri, a seasoned campaigner in the National squad, struck in the 50th, 73rd and 89th minute to silence the critics back home who had lamented the 2-3 defeat suffered by coach Datuk K. Rajagobal's boys against Canberra FC.
The National team that is preparing for the 2015 Asian Cup Qualifiers, will end their three-match playing tour of Australia by facing Marconi Stallions FC on Thursday.
In the Asian Cup Qualifiers, Malaysia face Bahrain in a Group D match in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 15.
