China has won the men's badminton doubles final after defeating Malaysian pair Goh V. Shem-Tan Wee Kiong in Rio de Janeiro, Friday night.

Fu Haifeng-Zhang Nan beat the country's duo in rubber sets, 16-21, 21-11, 23-21.

V Shem-Wee Kiong made a comeback when they defeated world number four Chinese pair 21-16, 15-21, 21-18 in the group matches.

Earlier, Datuk Lee Chong Wei beat his arch rival, two-time Olympic champion Lin Dan, 15-21, 21-11, 22-20 in an epic semi-final showdown.

Chong Wei will meet world no.2 player Chen Long from China in a gold-medal match on Saturday, August 20 at 8.20pm.
