Ronda Rousey must accept the fact that she's not 'invincible'
In her first interview since the loss, Rousey told ESPN magazine that she also had to accept the fact that she is not 'invisible'.
Former UFC world champion Ronda Rousey – who was defeated by Holly Holm last month – was forced to accept that she won’t retire undefeated.
In her first interview since the loss, Rousey told ESPN magazine that she also had to accept the fact that she is not ‘invincible’ – as many started to believe that she is.
In another development, she said that she is still recovering and her teeth is still unstable.
“It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact,” she told the magazine, as quoted by People.com which published snippets from the interview before the magazine is available on newsstands.
She also said she can’t wait to stage a comeback and defeat Holm.
"I need to come back. I need to beat this chick," she was quoted as saying.
Holm pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the Ultimate Fighting Championship when she knocked out previously unbeaten Rousey in the second round to claim the women's world bantamweight title on Sunday.
Rousey, tagged the world's most feared female prizefighter, was hospitalised after Holm sent her crashing to the canvas in the second round of their bout with a savage kick to her jaw.
