Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian finally ended his 10-year gold medal drought in men's 110m hurdles at the SEA Games after coming first today.
Having broken onto the scene by winning in 2007, the 29-year-old finished as runner-up in three of the last four SEA Games editions.
At the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Rayzam (13.83s) crossed the finish line ahead of Thailand's Jamras Rittidet (14.10s) and the Philippines' Clinton Kingsley (14.15s) to clinch the gold medal.
Interestingly, after the race, he fulfilled his pledge to shave his head if he emerged victorious.
In the women's 100m hurdle category, Malaysian hurdler Raja Nursheena finished 0.52s behind Vietnam's Tran Thi Yen Hoa to clinch silver.
