Singapore Lions continue to dominate league table

Lions XII FC from Singapore continued their domination at the top of the Super League table by defeating Terengganu 2-1 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium in Kuala Terengganu, tonight.
The win gave the young Lions who are coached by V. Sundramoorthy, 31 points from 15 matches to lead the table ahead of Armed Forces and Selangor who are now in second and third places respectively.
In Kuala Terengganu, Ismail Faruqi gave his team a flying start by converting a pass from G. Puaneswaran in the 63rd minute but Baihakki Khaizan headed in the equaliser from skipper Shahril Ishak's 78th minute corner.
Just when Terengganu were beginning to take a firm control of the match when the Lions were reduced to 10-man after referee Wan Mohd Tarmizi Wan Ibrahim had given Madhu Mohanna the marching orders in the 86th minute for a second bookable offence, a mistake by the Terengganu defence saw Hasmizan Kamarodin heading in Shahril's free kick into his own goal.
In Seremban, Armed Forces kept the Lions XII FC within their sight by star-studded Johor Darul Takzim FC (Johor DT) 2-0 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi through a brace from Marlon Alex James in the 55th and 63rd minutes.
In Kota Baharu, Kelantan beat Felda United 3-0 at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium with goals from Indra Putra Mahayuddin (32nd, 35th) and skipper Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi (90th min).
Perak who returned to the Perak Stadium in Ipoh for the first time this season since the problem of floodlights which prevented them from playing there, collected full points by beating Negeri Sembilan 2-1.
Paulo Rangel (22nd min) and Azlan Ismail (61st min) scored for Perak while Mohd Nazrin Mohd Nawi reduced the deficit for the visitors in the final minute of the match.
Selangor PKNS FC collected full points after beating Terengganu's T-Team 2-1 at the Shah Alam Stadium with a brace from Ramon Chmelo (48th min, 70th min) after T-Team had taken the lead in the 12th minute through Damir Ibric.
In Kuantan, Selangor salvaged a point after holding Pahang to a 2-2 draw at the Darul Makmur Stadium in Kuantan.
Francis Forkey Doe had given Selangor a flying start in the 2nd minute but R. Surendran managed to level the score in the 38 minute before Forkey Doe restored Selangor's lead in the 71st minute only to see Surendran once again rescue Pahang with a last minute strike.
