Spain have travelled to Central America to face Panama for the first time in an international friendly.
The reigning World and European champions will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run in this calendar year.
Vicente del Bosque's side have won 13 of the 15 games they have played in 2012, with only Italy and France avoiding defeat.
Despite playing in unfamiliar territory, Spain are expected to come through the match with another victory.
However, defender Sergio Ramos said at a press conference on Tuesday that nothing can be taken for granted in football.
It is a long way for a side to travel to play a friendly, but midfielder Sergio Busquets insisted the match would allow Spain to try new players and tactics - luxuries they cannot afford in the current World Cup qualification campaign.
Del Bosque expects his side's opponents to be fully motivated and he praised the improvements they have made under his counterpart Julio Cesar Dely Valdes.
The former Panama international's side are unbeaten in their last three matches.
