Sultan Mizan listed for SEA Games equestrian endurance event

The Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin has consented to join the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games national contingent and participate in the equestrian endurance event at Terengganu International Park in Lembah Bidong in the Games scheduled from Aug 19 to 30. Equestrian Association of Malaysia (EAM) vice-president Mohamad Din Mat in confirming the matter said Sultan Mizan was listed in the SEA Games squad by virtue of his ranking in the world. He said the Sultan is among the top four national equestrian athletes in the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) rankings and has expressed his interest to participate in the SEA Games. "He has expressed his interest to join the equestrian squad if selected," Mohamad Din told reporters here today. Sultan Mizan had participated in the World Endurance Championship in 2008 at Lembah Bidong. --Bernama
