Thomas Cup: Khairy arrives in New Delhi to offer support

Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin arrived in New Delhi to support the Malaysian team which will face Japan in the Thomas Cup final at the Siri Fort Indoor Stadium here, today.
"I just arrived in New Delhi and will head straight to see the Thomas Cup team to offer support," Khairy tweeted.
He also tweeted a picture of him with the whole team before leaving to the stadium and accompanied by the Malaysian High Commissioner to India, Datuk Naimun Ashakli Mohammad.
The national badminton squad qualified for the 2014 Thomas Cup final after defeating Indonesia 3-0 in New Delhi on Friday.
The last time Malaysia made it to the finals of the prestigious tournament was 12 years ago and the last time Malaysia won the cup was 22 years ago (1992).
