Wee Wern retains China Open
Malaysia's number two women squash player Low Wee Wern lifted her second consecutive China Open title, held at Shanghai Jinqaio Megafit Sports Club yesterday.
The 22-year-old Penangite was made to sweat before defeating Joelle King of New Zealand 6- 11, 11-4, 3-11, 11-3, 11-9 after a tight match.
The win is the sixth WSA title for Wee Wern who is currently world number nine.
