World go-kart champion Muizz crowned 2014 SAM-100PLUS Best Young Athlete

World go-kart champion, Muizzuddin Musyaffa Abdul Gafar would be crowned as the Best Young Athlete of the 2014 SAM-100PLUS Sports Award which will be held on March 17.
At the age of 12, Muizzuddin Musyaffa or better known as Muizz has achieved a big success when he emerged as the overall champion for World Series Karting (WSK) Champions Cup in the 60 Mini class in Italy last year.
Sports Writers Association of Malaysia (SAM), in a statement, said Muizzuddin Musyaffa was evaluated based on his achievement emerging runner-up in the WSK Masters Series last year.
The young driver began to take up a career in go-karts since he was eight and at the age of nine he started to compete in the prestigious CSAI Italian Karting Championship in Italy competitively.
In 2009, he finished fourth in the Micro Max Invitation international championship held in Porto, Portugal and it became the turning point for him to stride further.
For the 2015 season, Muizz would be contesting in major championships including WSK Champions Cup, WSK Masters Series, CIK-FIA European Championship, CIK-FIA World Championship and WSK Final Cup.
