PARALYMPIC gold medallist Ziyad Zolkefli believes he will achieve success at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London, England.
Having won gold and bronze at the 2013 and 2015 editions respectively, the F20 shot-put specialist wants to pick up where he left off at the 2016 Paralympic Games.
“I work hard all the time and I am confident of winning another gold medal for Malaysia,” he said.
“I have never been satisfied or contented with my performance and I want to be the best para-athlete and athlete there is.”
Ziyad, who will also be participating at the upcoming SEA Games, also revealed his aim to break his own record at the upcoming world meet, which will be held from July 14 to 23.
The goal might be achievable, as he emerged victorious at the recent Thailand Open Track and Field Championships with a distance of 17.07m, beating able-bodied athletes at the same time.
He previously set the world record of 16.84m in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
