'Op Benteng'

The NTF which comprises 18 security agencies tasked to safeguard the country's borders at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, will be officially disbanded on Dec 31.

Police security control duties along the country's border areas will continue despite the termination of Op Benteng this June.

The strength of 'Op Benteng' will be increased with additional members if necessary, following the reopening of the country's borders starting yesterday.
