The water supply to 188 areas affected by scheduled water disruption in Hulu Selangor is expected to be fully restored by 1 am on Thursday.

The water supply disruption was due to upgrading works of the water supply system at the Bukit Dengkil Reservoir yesterday.

The water supply in 13 areas in the Kuala Lumpur region which was affected following the repair works on the pipe burst in Jalan Kuari, Kampung Cheras Baru has been fully restored at 12 am today.

The recovery rate in Kuala Lumpur area is currently at 95.5 per cent and Klang area at 89.4 per cent.

Water supply in 50 areas around the capital was disrupted due to a leak pumping pipe at the Segambut Pump House yesterday.

Water supply in the six affected areas is expected to be fully restored at 12 pm today, Elina said.

Elina said the areas covered Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Putrajaya and Kuala Langat.

The resumption of water supply is different from area to area depending on the location and distance of the consumer's premises, Elina said.

Elina Baseri, in a statement today, said the Sungai Semenyih Water Treatment Plant has commenced its operation.

Air Selangor is now preparing for the treatment process to commence so that safe and clean treated water can be distributed to consumers.
