Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali will now file a new application for a stay of execution before Judge Noorin.

Siti Bainun Ahd Razali failed in her bid for High Court to overturn her conviction and prison sentence for the abuse of a disabled teenager.

The High Court said there was merit in Rumah Bonda's appeal and the court agreed that the application should be heard.

The court dismissed the application, 'on the grounds that there were no special or exceptional circumstances to allow the stay.

The judge said there are no special and exceptional circumstances for the court to allow a stay of the execution of the prison sentence.

However, the court ordered Siti Bainun to serve the sentences concurrently from today, meaning she will be serving only 12 years in jail.

The charge provides imprisonment for up to 20 years or a fine of RM50,000 or both, upon conviction.

The defence team closed its case after calling eight witnesses at the Sessions Court hearing today.
