The issue of contract medical officers who have not been absorbed into permanent posts will be brought to a Cabinet meeting, said Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

Contract medical officers will be promoted from Grade UD41 to UD43 while contract dental officers will be promoted from Grade UG41 to UG44, similar to their permanent counterparts.

A total of 150 Grade UD41 contract medical officers who have completed their housemanship have been offered permanent positions
