11 killed in tribal clashes in Sudan's Darfur region

A total of 11 people were killed and many others injured on Monday during tribal clashes between Bani Hussein and Aballa tribes in Sudan's North Darfur State, Xinhua news agency reported.
A statement by the state's security committee said the clashes at Jabel A'mir area started individually since Saturday before escalating and developing into a conflict between both tribes.
The state government has sent armed forces to the area to pursue the armed groups engaged in sabotage and burning acts.
The government has adopted security measures and formed a team to follow up the events and to end the disorder resulting from the clashes.
