The president of the working group in charge of Algeria's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) says he wishes to see Algeria become a member as soon as possible.
"I am in Algiers to see the means and manner we should act so that Algeria could accede to WTO as soon as possible," Alberto Dialoto told Algeria Press Service (APS) on his arrival in Algiers last week.
Argentinian Dialoto's visit to Algeria is part of the preparation for the next stages of Algeria's entry to WTO.
"I am in Algiers to hear Algeria’s concerns and to have talks for a clearer idea on the negotiation process," said Dialoto.
In March, Algeria reiterated its strong commitment to bringing the negotiations process to completion.
Dialoto did not exclude the possibility to hold the 11th round of negotiations before the end of the year.
"The talks with the Algerian authorities will focus on the conditions needed to hold these negotiations. The accession to WTO is not an easy process," he said.
