Anti-government protesters will march to the Government House again on Dec 9, a move to renew pressure on Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and bound to raise political tension here.
Their leader Suthep Thuegsuban of the Peoples Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), today called for the people to demonstrate at the Government House, which housed the office of the Prime Minister, beginning 9.30am on Dec 9.
He told the anti-government group protesters in countryside to gather at provincial halls across the country and close gates in order to prevent provincial officers from working.
He also asked students to join the protest against the government to seek its removal.
"We will gather in every roads across Bangkok and heading to the government house on Dec 9. We will know on Monday if we will win or lose," Suthep announced this evening.
Suthep will lead the march to the government house, but they will not get inside as a respect to the military personnel who are deployed in the Government House compound.
He said the protesters will remain at their current gathering point of the Government Complex Centre until Sunday night.
Meanwhile, the pro-government Red Shirt group announced that they will have a rally in Ayuthaya, located about 76km from here, on Dec 10.
