The family members of a woman who has been listed as one of the suspects in the Bangkok bomb blasts on Aug 17 and 18, believe she has nothing to do with the bloody tragedy.
The atmosphere at her family home in Huaisap, Kura Buri here was filled with grief after the court issued an arrest warrant against Maisarah Suansan or Wanna on charges of possessing explosives.
Wanna, 27, who is the youngest of nine siblings has been linked to the bombings at the Erawan Temple in Rachaprasong, Bangkok.
Her family members have also appealed to the media to seek justice for her.
Wanna, who was born in Kura Buri, Phang Nga, some 780km from Bangkok, received her early education in Kura Buri and then pursued a degree at the Faculty of Political Science of Ramkhamheng University in Bangkok.
After graduation, Wanna dabbled in international business. Last year, she married a man from Turkey, Emrah Dayutoglu and delivered a baby boy, who is now seven months old.
Wanna's brother, Esa Suansan described her as someone who was noble, obedient to her parents and always prayed.
Therefore, family members believe that Wanna could not have been involved in the bombing, he said.
"Right now, our family is tensed and worried about what had happened. I appeal to the Thai authorities to give justice to my sister and not come to a quick conclusion that Wanna was involved with a terrorist group.
"Don't be quick to decide that my sister is a terrorist because things are not clear yet. Wait for her to come home and explain the facts to prove her innocence," Esa told reporters at his home.
Wanna's sister, Suda Suansan said they had already provided all the information to the police and believed the government provided justice to her sister and their family.
"I still believe the Thai police and NCPO (National Council for Peace and Order) will help my sister to prove that she was not involved in the bombings," she said.
Meanwhile, Thai authorities in Bangkok are still awaiting the arrival of Wanna for questioning.
Wanna, who is said to be in Turkey currently, has stated she would return home to clear her name.
She was associated with the bombing case after Thai police raided the apartment which had been rented by her, and it was said to have been used by the other suspects in the bombing.
