Clashes between police and demonstrator in London

Clashes broke out between police and a thousand protesters who marched through central london on monday.

According to reports the demonstrators, from the far-right group, the english defence league, chanted anti-islamic slogans.

London police said several arrests were made following the protest and counter-protest which spilled over to downing street.
