Cops probe screening of a pornographic film on billboard

Police are conducting a forensic investigation over the screening of a pornographic film on a giant electronic billboard in this metropolitan city yesterday.
Head of the Serious Crime Investigation Department of the Metro Jaya police, Hendy Kurniawan, was reported by the online media as saying that the police had seized several computer equipment belonging to an advertisement company, PT Transito Adiman Jati, in South Jakarta.
He said the police had also searched the office and would call several of the company staff for questioning to assist investigation.
He declined to elaborate further and said that the case was being handled by the Cyber Crime Unit.
In yesterday's incident, a commotion broke and traffic came to almost a standstill when a pornographic film appeared on a large electronic advertisement board at Jalan Pangeran Antasari in South Jakarta.
The screening went on for almost 20 minutes until a trader, known as Domang, who operates a food stall by the road side there, went to cut off the electric cable at the billboard.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Transito Adiman Jati, Widi Krastawan said he regretted the incident and left the matter to the police to investigate.
