COVID-19: Indonesia records 2,447 new positive cases

COVID-19 positive cases in Indonesia continue to rise, reaching 157,859 while 76,667 patients are still being monitored for the viral infection.
Based on the republic's official website on COVID-19 at www.covid19.go.id today, 2,447 new cases have been recorded within 24 hours.
Between noon yesterday and noon today, 99 more deaths occurred, bringing the tally to 6,858.
Jakarta Province recorded the highest number of new positive cases at 637, bringing the total number to 34,740 with 16 more deaths, followed by East Java (30,998) and the 32 other provinces.
East Java has also recorded the most deaths at 2,222 so far, followed by Jakarta (1,129), Central Java (874), South Sulawesi (350) and the rest of the provinces.
