COVID-19: Indonesia records 3,861 new positive cases, highest in a day

Indonesia has recorded 3,861 COVID-19 new positive cases, the highest number within 24 hours, since the virus was first detected in the republic on March 2, 2020.
Based on the Indonesian government's official website on COVID-19, www.covid19.go.id today, the total number of positive cases has now reached 207,203 while another 95,501 patients are still being monitored for the viral infection.
Between noon yesterday and noon today, 120 more deaths were reported, bringing the cumulative number to 8,456 people.
Jakarta has recorded the most number of positive cases in the republic, with 50,671 including 1,274 new cases.
East Java has the highest total cases of fatalities, with 2,688 followed by Jakarta (1,351), Central Java (1,124), South Kalimantan (380), South Sulawesi (374) and the rest of the provinces.
