COVID-19: Indonesia reports 4,465 new cases, highest one day record

Indonesia has reported 4,465 new positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, its highest daily record since the first case was detected in the republic on March 2 2020
Based on the data published on the official Twitter site of the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management, @BNPB_Indonesia today, the overall positive cases rose to 257,388 while 109,541 more patients are still being monitored for the virus.
From 12 noon yesterday to 12 noon today, another 140 deaths occurred bringing the cumulative total now to 9,977 people.
The province of Jakarta which came under the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) regulation for two weeks from Sept 14, is still having the highest overall positive cases in the republic with 65,687 cases with 1,133 new cases.
East Java recorded the highest fatalities with 3,035 cases followed by Jakarta (1,628), Central Java (1,334) and the remaining cases in other provinces in Indonesia.
