French freestyle climber Alain Robert plans to climb the Cayan Tower in Dubai, the world's tallest twisted tower two years after surmounting the world's tallest tower Burj Khalifa.
Xinhua news agency stated local media as reporting that the 50-year-old Robert, or more popularly known as spiderman, had said Cayan Tower "presents a real challenge for freestyle climbers."
However, the Frenchman said he was still waiting for Emirati development firm Cayan and Dubai authorities to give the green light for him to proceed with the climb.
The 310-metre-high tower was inaugurated in Dubai's Marina district in June.
Inspired by the structure of human DNA, each floor of the one-billion-Dirham (US$272 million) tower is rotated by 1.2 degrees to achieve a full 90-degree twist and creating the shape of a helix.
Robert successfully climbed the 828-metre tall Burj Khalifa in central Dubai two years ago.
The Frenchmen has been climbing buildings since 1994.
