Indonesia's COVID-19 cases rise to 55,092, death toll at 2,805

According to Indonesian government spokesman on COVID-19, 1,082 new infection cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the death toll now stands at 2,805 cases.
COVID-19 new cases in Indonesia continue to spike after the tally rose to 55,092 cases today, with 51 more fatalities reported overnight.
According to Indonesian government spokesman on COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, 1,082 new infection cases were reported in the past 24 hours, while the death toll now stands at 2,805 cases.
“There are 13,335 patients still under COVID-19 surveillance,” he said at the daily media conference aired via Indonesia’s National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) YouTube channel.
East Java still has the highest death toll at 863 cases, followed by Jakarta (625 cases), South Kalimantan (186), West Java (175) while the remaining cases were in other Indonesian provinces. - BERNAMA
