Malaysian woman abandoned by Bangladeshi husband at airport

The woman was walking around the Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport aimlessly when Immigration Police took her aside for questioning.
A Malaysia woman has been abandoned at an airport in Bangladesh, by her Bangladeshi husband of five years.
According to a report in The Dhaka Tribune, the woman, only known as Nur Sohafa, 45, went to Bangladesh with her husband to visit his village in Faridpur.
After a month of staying there, the couple were scheduled to return to Malaysia last Saturday.
However, her husband, who had all her documents including her passport, suddenly went missing from the airport, leaving Nur Sohafa stranded.
Patenga Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Abdul Kashem told the daily that the woman was walking around Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport aimlessly when the Immigration Police took her aside for questioning.
After explaining that her passport had gone missing along with her husband, the police sent her to to court seeking directives regarding safe custody, while the police launched a search for her husband.
